Introduction
Everyone has bad neighbours. It's just one of those things. But surely no one - no one in the whole wide world - had neighbours as bad as yours.
For you live next door to the Crumms.
Worse still, you've recently suspected them of murdering a nice couple from across the street - the Carmichaels - and there have been stories in the papers about homeless people in the neighbourhood going miss. You're sure the Crumms are guilty of all this but you have no proof and no way to convince the police.
Until now that is.
Whilst doing the gardening the other day you overheard Mull Crumms and Dinb Crumms talking in their back garden about a "little trip" they were planning to "meet some old friends". They were likely to be gone for the whole weekend. The perfect opportunity, you realised, to conduct some snooping around their house and find what you needed to prove their guilt to the police. Even better, the wife and kids had a shopping trip planned so you won't be slowed down by them.
All you have to do is wait for the weekend…
