You're sitting in your office. It's a nice cozy room with a sofa in the corner that you call a bed. You can feel your head pounding from all the drinking you did yesterday. Your trench coat sits on the coat rack by the door, you've had it ever since you thought about becoming a private eye. A half empty bottle of whisky sits on your desk beside an empty pack of cheap cigarettes.

You're standing in the bustling street of Chicago. You look at your note of paper and read all the places Daisy mentioned. North, is the The Jazz Stop, a bar that Donny often used to go to. To the East,was the office of Dr.Louis Mack, best friend of Donny.Finally, to the West was the house of Donny and Daisy. Your office was back to the South. The sun isn't out today, even it knows not to come out on a dark day like this.

You're standing in front of Dr.Louis and Donny's office. Louis would be the proffesional one, while Donny used his office for less legal matters. The walls of the building have been cracking and the sidewalk in front is now almost covered entirely in grass. There's a small alley between the office and an old warehouse beside it. The smell of fresh garbage reaches out to you from within the alley. The front door to the Office is to the North.

Alley
You're in the alley behind the office. There's old boxes lined up against the wall,they used to be filled with cheap cigars. There's a poster up on the wall for a boxing match back in '52, it wasn't even that good of a fight. You can a shoeshiner sitting at the edge of the alley, his eyes watching you carefully. You can hear the sound of sirens as police cars zoom off, probaly going to investigate a crime you'll be asked to solve tomorrow. Shoeshiner is here.

You're standing in Donny's office. It seems that Daisy didn't call the police yet, Donny's body is still sprawling on the desktop. There aren't any lights in the room so its pretty dark. You can see a painting on the wall right above a garbage can. The room doesn't seem to have been searched. You can hear the sound of machinery from the construction site across the street.

You rummage through the desk and find a small slip of paper.

You're standing in the small office of Dr.Louis Mack. The first thing you notice is Dr.Macks lifeless body lying on the ground, it seems someone beat you to him. His desk has been searched and so has the cabinet that now lies on the floor. The smell of fresh blood fills your mouth as you look throughout the room.

You're sitting at the bar at the Jazz Stop,a common hangout for the more organized business men.Say the wrong thing here,and you could be swimming with the fishes.It's packed tonight,most customers have come to see Harry Dean,a trumpet player who had appeared out of nowhere and impressed the enire city.The bartender standing behind the bar walks over and asks in you need anything. Donny's House
You're standing in Donny's small house. As soon as you enter the house you can see a large ashtray on the coffee table. Daisy is sitting on the small couch, smoking a cigarette. You can hear Ella Fitzgerald playing from the house next door. It seems that Donny didn't have that much money, it's an extremely small house. Daisy is here.

The solid marble ashtray used to be clean, but is now dirty from all the ash of the cigarettes. A folded up note is stuck inside it.

You grab the note out of the ashtray and stick it in your pocket.

You pull out your gun and hold it up to Daisy. You tell her you know all about the affair between her and Louis and how she killed Donny. She denies it but you show her the note you found in the ashtray. She begins to get nervous and pulls a gun out of her purse. You shoot her once in the arm and she drops the gun to the ground.She tries to grab it again but you quickly kick it under the couch and handcuff her. You call the police and you watch as they carry her into the back of the squad her.She grins ay you as the car pulls away.

Daisy was found guilty of double homicide and sentanced to life in prison. The case was a small one and you never got the attention you thought you would get. With the money you got from the case you finally got a nice couch for the office, at least you'll be sleeping in comfort.
